How Harvest Renewables collects, uses, and protects your information.

Last updated: May 4, 2026

Harvest Renewables ("Harvest," "we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through harvestrenewables.com (the "Site"), how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Information we collect

We collect information in two ways:

Information you provide to us. When you fill out a form on the Site — the contact form, a landowner inquiry form, or any other form we may add — we collect the information you choose to submit. This typically includes your name, email address, phone number (if provided), the state where your land is located (if provided), the approximate acreage of your land (if provided), and any message you send us.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, our analytics provider records aggregate information about your visit, including pages viewed, the approximate region of your visit (typically country and city), the type of device and browser you used, and the referring website if any. This information is aggregated and not tied to your identity. We use Plausible Analytics, which does not use cookies and does not collect personal data.

How we use information

We use the information you provide to:

  • Respond to your inquiry and communicate with you about your specific question, project, or land
  • Evaluate whether your land may be a fit for a community solar project
  • Send you follow-up information directly related to your inquiry
  • Maintain records of our communications

We use the analytics information to understand how the Site is used, identify pages that are working well, and improve the Site over time.

We do not use your information to send marketing emails, newsletters, or unrelated promotional material. We do not build behavioral profiles, and we do not use your information for advertising purposes.

How we share information

We do not sell your information. We do not rent or trade your information to third parties for marketing.

We share information only in these limited cases:

Service providers. We use trusted third-party services to operate the Site, including Netlify (which hosts the Site and processes form submissions on our behalf) and Plausible (which provides analytics). These providers receive only the information they need to perform their function and are bound by their own privacy and security obligations.

Project partners. If you submit a landowner inquiry and we determine your land may be a fit for a community solar project we are developing, we may share relevant information about your land with our project partners, financing partners, or service providers (such as engineers, attorneys, or surveyors) involved in evaluating or developing the project. We do not share your personal contact information without first discussing it with you.

Legal obligations. We may disclose information if required by law, court order, subpoena, or other legal process, or if necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Harvest, our partners, or others.

Business transfers. If Harvest is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information about you may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice on the Site if such a transfer occurs and your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

Cookies and similar technologies

The Site does not use cookies for advertising, tracking, or analytics. Our analytics provider (Plausible) is specifically designed to operate without cookies. Our forms processor (Netlify) does not set tracking cookies on the Site. If we add functionality in the future that requires cookies, we will update this policy and provide appropriate notice.

Data security

We use commercially reasonable safeguards to protect the information you submit. Form submissions are transmitted over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and stored by Netlify. Access to submitted information is limited to authorized Harvest personnel and our project partners as described above.

No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. While we work to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data retention

We retain information you submit through the Site for as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry, evaluate or develop the project your land may be a fit for, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. If your inquiry does not lead to an active project relationship, we typically retain your information for up to three years from your last contact with us, after which it may be deleted or archived.

Your choices

You may:

  • Decline to provide information. Submitting a form is optional. If you choose not to submit a form, you can still browse the Site.
  • Update or correct your information. Email us at the address below if any information you have submitted is inaccurate or out of date.
  • Request deletion. You may request that we delete information you have submitted. We will honor your request unless we are required to retain the information by law or for ongoing project work that involves your land. Email us to make a request.
  • Opt out of communications. You can ask us to stop contacting you at any time by replying to any email from us or contacting us directly.

Children's privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, contact us and we will delete the information.

Third-party links

The Site may contain links to third-party websites, including our project partners (Madison Energy Infrastructure, AccelDev), press coverage, and other resources. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third-party sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any sites you visit.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If we make material changes, we will provide additional notice on the Site. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
